Building capacity for inclusive collective bargaining and social dialogue in the private services sector

This project aims to work closely with national trade unions in the private services sector to support, strengthen, and rebuild social dialogue, especially focusing on sectoral collective bargaining.

We will do this by (i) building the skills and knowledge of trade unions across Europe, (ii) helping unions develop strategies, particularly for multi-employer bargaining, and (iii) participating in policy discussions to create better conditions for bargaining in the services sector.

The project has three main areas of work:

  1. Capacity Building: We offer hands-on, three-day workshops to help trade union officers in the field develop their skills in collective bargaining, focusing on how to organize union members in the private services sector.
  2. Strategy Development: We work closely with national union leaders in focused sessions to help them create effective strategies for multi-employer bargaining and sectoral social dialogue.
  3. Policy Support: We assist national unions in shaping policy positions that can influence collective bargaining at the national level.

Overall, this project is about sharing knowledge and building the capabilities of trade unions across Europe to strengthen collective bargaining in the private services sector.
