UNI Global Union stands with the people of Türkiye and Syria

On behalf of UNI Global Union affiliates in 150 countries, we express our solidarity with the people of Türkiye and Syria following today’s devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake. Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected.

We mourn the loss of at least 20,000 lives and extend our condolences to the many more who have been injured or lost homes. We are proud of the swift response of the Turkish trade union movement in providing aid and shelter to those in need, and we join the call for urgent international support to rescue those who remain in the rubble.     

Together, we will rebuild.

Bugün gerçekleşen 7,7 büyüklüğündeki yıkıcı depremin ardından, UNI Küresel Sendika Federasyonu’nun 150 ülkedeki üye sendikaları adına Türkiye ve Suriye halkı ile dayanışma içinde olduğumuzu ifade ediyoruz. Kalplerimiz depremden etkilenenlerle birlikte atıyor.

Yaşamını yitiren en az 20.000 kişinin yasını tutarken yaralanan ya da evleri yıkılan çok sayıda depremzedeye geçmiş olsun dileklerimizi iletiyoruz. Hızla ihtiyaç sahiplerine yardım ve barınma imkanı sunan Türk sendikal hareketi ile gurur duyuyoruz ve enkaz altındakilerin kurtarılabilmesi için acilen uluslararası destek yapılması çağrısına katılıyoruz.

Birlikte yeniden inşa edeceğiz.
