Forward through collective bargaining 2024

November I

EU Commissioners need to make collective bargaining compulsory in procurement revision

During hearings in the European Parliament, EU Commissioners-designate committed to overcoming lowest-price competition and promoting social criteria in public procurement. UNI Europa urges them to make collective bargaining the guiding principle in the Commission’s overhaul of procurement rules.

The minimum wage directive: a much-needed tool for CEE unions

As the deadline for transposing the EU’s Minimum Wage Directive draws near, UNI Europa continues its efforts to ensure that workers across Europe benefit from improved working conditions and wages.

Today (Friday 15 November), EU member states will have to have the legislation transposed. While some countries have done their homework, most are taking a minimalist approach with little or no changes to their legal framework.
