Unions across Europe are supporting the peace effort and victims of the war. UNI is supporting a programme to help Ukrainian refugees arriving in Poland. Through this programme, COZZ, the Central European Organising Centre, and UNI affiliated unions in Poland, will provide support and advice to ensure that Ukrainians arriving in Poland know their rights and receive help finding work. Meanwhile in Germany, unions and employers in Germany have launched a job portal for refugees in the culture, film and media sectors.
We have also produced guidance for works council representatives on getting multinationals to participate to the peace effort. Finally, UNI recently took part in the trade union demonstration outside the EU Commission headquarters. Check out the video by Oliver Roethig highlighting our position and actions.
